Overall, this has been a bewildering and unforgettable experience that I will cherish. It helped awaken something in me and made me contemplate what joy it is to be a teacher and see the students enjoy your teaching, learning, and building of bonds that is something you could only witness and experience here in this field. A rather faithful experience that not only allowed me to try teaching for the first time in actuality towards inclusivity but also come to terms with my passion and motivation to further develop my repertoire as a pre-service teacher today and in the future. One of the things I learned is how days are unpredictable. But regardless of that, one thing is certain, it is that, every day we must put up with our best smile and be in tip-top shape. Why? because we are their guide,  second parents, and even their friend but most of all, role model; we play an important part not only in providing knowledge but also in molding who they want to be and how they can utilize their talents and bring them to their best potential.

The program itself exceeded my expectations not only because of the enriching teaching experiences and learnings but also because its culture, foods, and of course its people allured and charmed me. The undying hospitality and their courteousness are something worth noting. However, there are personal suggestions that I  will mention to improve the immersion and experience further The first of which is the duration of our stay. Being here in 28 days feels like a wonderful and fun experience but time does go fast. With that, being in SD Lazuardin Kendari has been fruitful but staying for a month is not enough to integrate such teaching culture and experience, let alone learn and be proficient in Bahasa Indonesia. With that, I suggest a longer stay even a whole semester. Not only will that improve drastically the immersion of students but also help us learn and appreciate the culture of this city more. In addition, the solidarity and agreement towards the requirements of the program are crucial towards the sending university and the SEAMEO for students to immerse and enjoy their experience without the worry of workload during their immersion. Lastly,  the SEAMEO program should coordinate similar duration of the stay to all of the sending schools of their students, so they have an opportunity to build a rapport and relationship with each other at the same time instead of having different stays which is unfortunate for both the ones leaving early and the representatives staying still.

Even so, I am beyond grateful for the opportunity provided to me by my sending university and the SEAMEO. Furthermore, genuinely indebted to the hospitality and accommodation provided by the Halu Oleo University to us students. In addition, having the most reliable coordinator, Ms. Ade is someone who never fails to always be there when we need her. To add into that, Sir Wolter picking us up every day and bridging the language barrier with the use of " Online translation. "Bahasa,Bahasa" as quoted on Sir Wolter, every conversation. Lastly, the undying support and fruitful experience received and provided to us by the principal, Miss Diyah, and the people in Lazuardi. It is an honor to be a part of and be one of the first batch of pre-service teachers after the pandemic. There is not a moment where I could say that I did not enjoy my experience here. For now, I could only look back and say that someday, I will come back to Kendari. Terima Kasih!
